The PayPal registration experience was mapped as a single board before any visual design began: a Happy Path lane running from the Citi account page through Select Cards, the review screen, processing, PayPal sign-in and Thank You, with connector lines branching off to named lanes for Select Cards alternate scenarios, T&C high-risk edge cases, technical edge cases and an alternate Thank You copy.

Each flow was documented as its own board with desktop and responsive frames side by side, numbered red annotation callouts against the frames, and a Project Details panel carrying the title, platform and sprint plus a Purpose written as a user story — for example “As a Citipay user I would like to add my Citi cards to my PayPal wallet. I need to be able to tell which cards are eligible and go through the validation process as needed.”

Connector lines link every screen state to the next so the whole journey could be walked end to end, including the step-up verification paths (identification code by text or call, OTP entry, security questions), the CVV re-entry loop, and every error and recovery route — card access failure, incorrect CVV, temporary delay, and the two failure modals.

The Android boards extend the same treatment to native: five CVV step-up processing paths from the PIN placeholder through the numeric keypad card-by-card CVV entry, validation spinner, success and error states, and back to the dashboard.

The final Citi-branded design was delivered as a versioned, dated comps deck with a table of contents and change log, covering the happy path, the Select Cards states, identification-code screens and the full set of error and delay messages.
